Nutrition & Meal Times
Food shapes mood, behaviour, sleep and development.
At Circadian Nest, we keep meals simple, natural and calming — supporting healthy bodies and regulated nervous systems.
Our approach is built on three principles:
Real food. Calm environment. Consistent rhythm.
Breakfast (provided by us) – 9:00am
We offer healthy, low-ingredient foods such as:
- Sourdough toast (with butter or avocado)
- Fresh fruit
- Natural yogurt
- Low-ingredient cereals (no added sugar)
Breakfast is unhurried and shared in a calm, family-style setting.
Snacks (provided by us) – around 3:00pm
Afternoon snacks are light, nourishing and steady in energy.
Examples:
- Fresh fruit
- Natural yogurt
- Milk
- Simple whole foods (e.g. cheese, oatcakes)
We avoid processed or sugary snacks to support mood and regulation.
Lunch (provided by parents)
Parents provide a healthy packed lunch each day.
We will share guidance to help you choose meals that support:
- Balanced energy
- Brain development
- Emotional stability
- Natural sleep rhythms
Please avoid:
- High sugar foods
- Chocolate or sweets
- Processed snacks
- Nuts (strict no-nut policy)
We can reheat meals if required.
Mealtime Rhythm
- 9:00 – Breakfast
- 11:30–12:00 – Staggered lunch (by age group)
- 3:00 – Snack / Tea
A predictable rhythm supports digestion, blood sugar balance and sleep.
